IPL Intense Pulse Light
What is Intense Pulse Light?
Also known as “Epilight”, this hair reduction system is non-invasive
and can be used for reduction of hair from all parts of the body. It
is not a laser. Strong scientific studies have enabled the FDA to
claim this treatment method to have the highest percentage of hair
removal permanency. 84%, in fact over a two-year period of comparing
two laser forms of hair removal.
How does it work?
Using pulsed light at predetermined wavelengths, IPL impairs the
hair follicle’s ability to grow. This treatment effectively disables
the hair while it’s in the active growth phase. Since hair has three
distinctive phases of growth, we recommend at least three
treatments, possibly up to five, scheduled 4 –5 weeks apart.
What can I expect?
More comfortable than Laser Hair Removal, IPL feels a bit like small
rubber bands snapping. Once the treatment is complete, you may
experience temporary, slight redness or swelling. On more sensitive
areas, a numbing cream is applied prior to treatment.
Who is eligible for IPL hair reduction?
The Intense Pulse Light is ideal for someone with dark hair on an
untanned skin. To assure successful treatments, we recommend that
you NOT tan during treatments or one month after, to avoid the
possibility of any hyper pigmentation.

Photo Rejuvenation
What is Photo Rejuvenation
Intense Pulse Light is a gentle, alterative way to rejuvenate
sun-damaged, devitalized, acneic or even Rosacea skin types. It can
be done as a facial treatment or on particular body areas.
Advantages of IPL Photo Rejuvenation
Would you like to enjoy any of the following?
• Tightening of the skin
• Improvement in appearance of pore size
• Reversal of sun damage
• Disappearance of red lines and spots
• Decrease in fine lines and wrinkles
• Fading of brown spots and freckles
• Decrease in skin redness from Rosacea or sun damage
• Calming of Rosacea skin conditions
• Improved appearance of acne scars and their discoloration
• Reduction in dark facial hair
Compare IPL Photo Rejuventation vs. Laser
IPL is performed with many wavelengths of light simultaneously, so
it can penetrate all levels of the skin, and gently treat
irregularities. Laser produces a single wavelength of light, and
traditional laser treatments can often be limited to facial areas
only. Laser can also pose impractical, lengthy recovery
periods, as well as high risk of scarring after uncomfortable
treatments.
Experience the difference
With the IPL Photo Rejuvenation method, your aesthetician can treat
many layers of damaged skin, without risk of scarring and down time.
This treatment CANNOT be done on tanned skin. Photo
Rejuvenation can be done on non-facial skin also, such as neck,
chest, arms, hands and even sensitive skin.
How many treatment will I need?
For the best results, we recommend five to seven full-face IPL
treatments scheduled at four week intervals. This will depend on
your desired level of skin rejuvenation. For example, people who
struggle with Rosacea, or unwanted redness and flushed complexions,
may need more than five to seven treatments. Or, for people with
multiple skin irregularities, Microdermabrasion in between IPL
visits may be necessary to achieve success.
